Goals and Objectives
When ASRC began selecting the five million acres of land entitled to its shareholders under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, it set clear goals and objectives:
To gain title to the lands with the greatest resource potential
To explore and develop ASRC lands
To produce and market the resources from them
Targeted Potential
When ASRC finalized most of its land selections the Corporation turned its attention to the development of its resources. ASRC also targeted potential exchanges for land within the 23 million acre National Petroleum Reserve Alaska (NPR-A).
