Patricia E. Patkotak serves on Arctic Slope Regional Corporation’s board of directors, holding the director seat for Utqiaġvik. Utqiaġvik is the northernmost community in the United States, the largest village in the North Slope, and is located within the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska (NPR-A).
Patricia is a tribal citizen of the Native Village of Barrow, as well as a shareholder of both ASRC and Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation, the Alaska Native village corporation for Utqiaġvik. Her Iñupiaq name is Aqpaluk.
Patricia currently serves as the Human Resources Director for the North Slope Borough. Prior to this role, she was the Assistant to the Director of the North Slope Borough’s Planning Department, a position she held until 2022.
Patricia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration, with an emphasis on Human Resources Management, from the University of Alaska Southeast. She also holds a Master of Science in Human Capital Management from Columbia University.
She currently resides in Utqiaġvik with her husband, Paul Patkotak, and their daughter. In her free time, she enjoys boating, hunting, camping with her family, and is a member of the Quuniq Whaling Crew.
