Shelley Cordova serves as executive vice president, general counsel and interim human resources for Arctic Slope Regional Corporation. As general counsel, she is responsible for overseeing the company’s legal matters, providing practical, risk-smart solutions, and partnering with senior leadership to support the businesses’ strategic plans to best serve ASRC’s shareholders.
Shelley has been with the ASRC family of companies for over 12 years, most recently serving as SVP, Chief Strategy, Legal & People Officer at ASRC Energy. During her tenure with ASRC Energy, Shelley led the effort where over 1,000 employees identified ASRC Energy’s “ASPIRE” business values, and she supported company culture efforts that contributed to ASRC Energy being named the “Best Place to Work in Alaska” in 2023 and 2024. Shelley’s leadership across ASRC Energy’s legal, people, and strategy functions has helped the company responsibly diversify into new energy services.
Shelley brings over 20 years of legal experience to her role. Before joining ASRC, she worked at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP and Irell & Manella, LLP as a litigator and trial lawyer for Fortune 500 companies on general business, employment, contract, intellectual property, and antitrust matters. She also offered advice and counsel to large employers on employment law and compliance.
Shelley received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and her B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of California at Davis. She is licensed to practice law in Alaska and California (Inactive) and is a member of the Anchorage Bar Association and the Corporate Counsel and Employment Law Committees.
Shelley enjoys fishing, skiing and camping with her husband and three children. She is also a supporter of the Alaska Zoo where she serves on the Board of Directors.
