ASRC Board of Directors Endorses Representative Mary Peltola for the U.S. House of Representatives

UTQIAĠVIK, Alaska – The ASRC Board of Directors voted to endorse Representative Mary Peltola for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives at its regularly scheduled October 2022 meeting. Peltola won an August 2022 special election to complete the late Congressman Don Young’s term.

“Since winning the special election, Representative Peltola has shown her willingness to work across the aisle,” said Rex Rock, ASRC president and CEO. “We commend and appreciate her bipartisan approach in representing our great state.”

ASRC Board Chairman Crawford Patkotak added, “The economic foundations of our region and of our state are rooted in responsible resource development. Representative Peltola’s support and defense of responsible development in Alaska, and particularly on the North Slope, is a necessary and important perspective in her caucus.”

The Alaska General Election will take place on November 8, 2022. Voters will select candidates through Ranked Choice Voting.
