Fire near Petro Star Valdez refinery

On June 27, 2022, Petro Star Inc. (PSI), experienced a fire at its Valdez refinery truck loading rack. The fire was contained and has been fully extinguished. There were no reported injuries to employees or responders. The refinery was not damaged in the fire.

PSI is working now to conduct a thorough review to determine the cause of the fire. PSI is thankful to the Valdez Fire Department and Alyeska Pipeline Service Company Fire Department for their services and quick efforts to minimize damage and prevent any injuries.

PSI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation. The PSI Valdez refinery has been in operation since 1993.
